TraQ Technical Resource Manual, ed. 2
**The TraQ Technical Resource Manual (TRM) is protected by copyright. See Terms of Use Also see an overview of TraQ / PBCO manuals and the Competency Companion The TRM is a collection of referenced, “best practice” guidelines covering the most commonly used procedures in a hospital transfusion service. It complies with Canadian blood safety standards (CSA Z902-04 and CSTM Standards for Hospital Transfusion Services, v. 1) but has NOT been updated to comply with CSTM Standards, v. 2 (2007). The TRM guidelines/SOPs are examples only and
should not be used as a substitute for technical judgement.
Medical and technical information becomes obsolete quickly and current
sources relevant to the user's location should always be consulted.
