Summary of Panel 1 and Panel 2
Probable antibodies: anti-C and anti-Jka
Note: Looking at the results of Panel 1 and 2 together, these two antibodies produce the best fit to explain the reaction patterns in both panels. This hypothesis needs to be confirmed by further testing (antibody exclusions).
Antibodies not ruled out: anti-K, anti-Fya, and anti-M
Self Test
-
In the exclusion cell panel above, cells positive for C and Jka antigens have been set up. What is the rationale for setting up positive controls in selected cell panels?
- Three cells have been tested to exclude the "not ruled out" antibodies. Decide which antibody that each cell is meant to exclude and then click on the question mark (?) buttons in the Comments column to test your choices.
