Heather Mah, BSc, RT (CSMLS)

Heather Mah is currently the Technical Specialist in Transfusion Medicine for Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH). She began her career at Vancouver General Hospital and worked for 6 years as the Technical Supervisor where she was involved in the implementation of advanced transfusion lab practice such as automated group and screen testing. Now in a regional role, her focus is CSA Standards compliance, standardization of practice and quality systems implementation. She has a special interest in helping technologists in community and rural hospitals/clinics meet the challenges related to transfusion medicine.
