Marilyn Collins, ART
In December 2005 Marilyn Collins became the Program Manager for the Newfoundlandand Labrador Provincial Blood Coordinating Program Office
For many years, Marilyn
was
the Charge Technologist, Component
Production and Product Distribution at Canadian Blood Services in St. John's,
Newfoundland and Labrador. Marilyn joined CRC/CBS in 1979 as a Registered Technologist
in Blood Bank having worked 6 years in the transfusion service at the Grace
Hospital in St. John's. In 1985 she obtained her Advanced Registered
Technologist (ART) in Immunohematology and became Charge Technologist in 1989.
In 2008 Marilyn received the CSTM's Blum Award, which recognizes a member who has given outstanding service to the Society over time.

Member of the National Exam Panel for the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science
Co-chair for the Ride for Sight for Newfoundland and Labrador
Eastern Director for the Canadian Society for Transfusion Medicine (served 3 terms)
