What should be checked prior to giving Rh positive patients subsequent doses of intravenous RhIG?

Before transfusing Rh positive patients with subsequent doses of intravenous RhIG, the following are recommended:

Check for signs/symptoms of intravascular hemolysis, anemia, onset or exacerbation of renal insufficiency
If suspicious, perform laboratory test such as haptoglobin, total/direct bilirubin, LDH, peripheral blood film, serum complement, and urinalysis.
